2012년 창간된 후로 지난 10년간 우리들교회에서 수많은 영혼을 구원으로 이끌고, 깨어진 가정을 중수하며, 교회를 부흥시킨 말씀묵상지 《큐티인》이 2018년 1·2월 호부터 서점에서 판매되고 있습니다.

《큐티인》은 큐티엠(큐티선교회)에서 지난 2012년에 창간했던 말씀묵상지입니다. 구속사적 본문해설과 60여 명의 평신도가 집필한 묵상간증 및 다양한 읽을거리를 담은 《큐티인》은 그동안 우리들교회 성도들을 위한 묵상지로 격월간 발행되었으나 해외를 비롯한 외부 정기구독자의 수가 매년 급속히 증가함에 따라 2018년 1,2월 호부터 ‘큐티인 시리즈 4종’을 전국 서점에 시판하게 된 것입니다.

또한 큐티엠(큐티선교회)에서는 장년에서부터 청소년, 어린이, 영유아에 이르기까지 모든 세대가 한 말씀으로 날마다 묵상하는 것을 돕기 위해 2013년에는 《청소년 큐티인》을, 2014년에는 초등학생을 위한 《어린이 큐티인》을 차례로 창간한 바 있으며, 여기에도 청소년과 어린이 필자들의 생생한 묵상간증이 실려 있습니다. 그리고 2016년 1월에는 미취학 아동을 위한 《새싹 큐티인》을 창간하여 전 세대가 같은 말씀으로 묵상하도록 돕고 있습니다. 더불어 영어권에 있는 해외 독자들의 수요가 점점 늘어남에 따라 2019년 9월에는 영문판 《QTin》이 eBook으로 발간되었고, 2020년 1월부터는 종이책으로도 발간되고 있습니다.

Since the first issue in 2012, Wooridle Church 《QTin》 has led many souls to Jesus Christ, rebuilt the broken families, and revived the church for over ten years, and now on sale at public bookstores from January 2018.

《QTin》, issued by QTM(Quiet Time Movement) in 2012, was first a devotional book with a scriptural interpretation based on redemptive history and the personal testimonies of about sixty laypersons of the church. While bimonthly publishing with those testimonies and stories for Wooridle Church members, from January 2018, 《QTin》 4-piece series has been on sale at the public bookstores nationwide due to the increase in subscribers outside the church and even in Korea.

To help all generations to meditate on the Word of God every day, QTM has published 《QTin Teens》 (Korean) in 2013, 《QTin Kids》 (Korean) in 2014, and 《QTin Sprouts》 (Korean) in 2016 with the vivid testimonies from the readers, both kids and parents. Moreover, the increasing number of readers and subscribers from outside Korea, mainly from the English-speaking world, the English 《QTin》 has been published in the form of an eBook since September 2019, and started as a paper book in January 2020.

다음은 2000년에 큐티선교회(QTM, Quiet Time Movement)를 설립해 말씀묵상을 통해 한 영혼을 구원하고, 가정을 중수하며, 교회를 새롭게 하기 위한 운동을 펼쳐나가고 있는 김양재 목사가 큐티인 시리즈를 서점에 내놓으며 발행인 칼럼을 통해 밝힌 글입니다.

Next is Publisher’s Notes of Rev. Kim, Yangjae when the first 《QTin》 was on sale at bookstores. In 2000, She began QTM (Quiet Time Movement) to start the movement of meditating the Word of God to lead a soul to Jesus Christ, rebuild a broken family, and revive the church.

“제가 큐티를 하기 시작한 것은 1980년경입니다. 저는 집 밖으로 나갈 수가 없어 큐티하는 방법도 몰랐지만 큐티 교재를 통해 제 인생의 환난이 주제가 되고, 성경이 교과서가 되고, 성령이 스승이 되어 말씀을 묵상할 수 있는 방법을 하나님이 알려주셨습니다. 그리하여 저는 큐티를 통해 또 한 번 인생의 전환기를 맞이하게 되었습니다. 말씀을 통해 알게 된 저의 추함과 더러움 그리고 욕심뿐만 아니라, 제가 겪은 고난의 여정을 숨김없이 사람들에게 나누게 된 것입니다. 큐티를 하며 말씀으로 충만해지고 나니 제 사역의 지경도 점점 넓어져 갔습니다. 하나님은 말씀묵상 운동을 통해 영혼을 구원하고 가정을 중수하고 교회를 새롭게 하라는 사명을 주시며, 큐티선교회를 세우게 하시고, 우리들교회를 허락하셨습니다. 그리고 2012년 1월, 격월간 큐티 잡지 《큐티인》을 창간하게 하셨습니다. 이후 2013년에는 《청소년 큐티인》, 2014년에는 초등학생을 위한 《어린이 큐티인》이 차례로 창간되었고, 2016년 1월에는 미취학 아동을 위한《새싹 큐티인》까지 창간해 온 가족이 하나의 말씀을 묵상할 수 있게 되었습니다. 비록 짧은 연륜이지만 《큐티인》은 기존의 큐티 잡지를 모방하여 만든 것이 아닙니다. 여느 큐티 잡지에서도 볼 수 없는 구속사적인 본문해설과 60여 편의 평신도 묵상간증이 소리 없는 개혁이 되어 수많은 영혼을 살리고, 가정을 회복시키고, 교회를 부흥시켰습니다. 이제 그 《큐티인》이 강에서 바다로 나아가듯 전국의 모든 서점으로 나아갑니다. 두렵고 떨리는 마음이지만 무엇보다 이 땅의 모든 성도님과 매일 아침 같은 말씀 안에서 만날 수 있게 되어 너무나 감사합니다. 하나님께서 《큐티인》을 통해 성도가 살아나고, 가정이 회복되고, 교회가 새롭게 되는 열매를 저에게 보여주셨던 것처럼, 이제 그 열매가 한국의 모든 성도, 모든 가정, 모든 교회에서도 풍성히 열리기를 기도합니다.”

“I started my first QT in around 1980. Although I was not allowed to go outside the house and did not learn how to do QT, God taught me how to do meditate on God’s words through QT. The suffering of life is a subject, the Bible the textbook, and the Holy Spirit the teacher. Through QT, I experienced another switch in my life. In the Word of God, I found my ugliness, foulness, and lust, and even shared my life of suffering and hardship with others. As being full of His words, the range of ministry has become broader. With QTM and Wooridle Church, God gave me a mission to lead souls to Jesus Christ, to restore the broken families, and to revive the church by the movement of meditating on His words. In January 2012, by God’s help, the first QTin (Korean) for adults was published. Ever since the first QTin, the other series of QTin followed: QTin Teens (Korean) in 2013, QTin Kids (Korean) in 2014, and QTin Sprouts (Korean) in 2016. With the series, all generations of the family can read and meditate on Scripture together. While it has a short history, QTin does not copy any of those devotionals in the market. There is a distinctive characteristic in which you can read the Bible from the perspective of redemptive history and with about sixty testimonies of laypersons. As it worked like a quiet reformation, it has been leading many souls to Jesus Christ, restoring families, and reviving churches. And now, like the water through the river and finally to the sea, QTin goes out to bookstores in the market. It is trembling and fearful, but also grateful to meet brothers and sisters in Christ every day through the Word of God. As through QTin God has revived the many people, restored the families, and renewed the church, I pray that the same fruit would come into bearing to all Christians, families, and churches in Korea.”

청장년에게 《큐티인》이 있다면, 청소년에게는 《청소년 큐티인》이 있습니다. 청소년의 시각에 맞춰 구성된 《청소년 큐티인》은 이 시대를 살아가는 우리 청소년들이 성경적 가치관으로 굳게 설 수 있도록 돕는 신실한 ‘말씀 나침반의 역할’을 할 것입니다. 큐티를 어려워하는 독자들도 편하게 다가갈 수 있는 쉬운 해설과 다양한 읽을거리로 ‘큐티하는 즐거움’이 있는 친근한 큐티지입니다.

Like QTin for Christian adults and young adults, QTin Teens is for Christian teenagers. As being written in favor of teens, it helps the readers as a compass of God’s word to stand on a firm foundation of biblical values. With the easy explanation of the Bible and readable content, QTin Teens would help even some readers who feel difficulty with QT. As a friendly QT magazine, it gives the readers joy to do QT.

책 속으로

저희 부모님은 자주 심하게 싸우셨습니다. 오빠는 나쁜 친구들과 어울리며 사고를 엄청 많이 치고 다녔습니다. 또 엄마가 돈을 주지 않는다는 이유로 엄마를 협박하기도 했습니다. 오빠의 비행 때문에 엄마 아빠는 더욱 심하게 다투셨습니다. 제가 초등학교 4학년 때는 엄마 아빠가 오빠 때문에 몇 시간이나 집안 물건을 서로에게 던지며 싸우셨습니다. 저는 그때 방에서 울고 있었는데, 엄마가 저에게 집을 나가자고 하셔서 방 밖으로 나왔습니다. 온 집안의 물건이 다 부서져 있던 그날의 기억은 아직까지도 제게 큰 두려움으로 남아있습니다.

부모님의 다툼, 오빠가 저지르는 사건사고, 그리고 오빠가 술을 먹고 자신을 해치는 모습을 보며 저는 정신적으로 많이 아팠습니다. 불안과 우울, 무기력이 심해져 세 번이나 여러 방식의 극단적인 시도를 했습니다. 그러나 모든 것은 시도에 그쳤고 다 계획을 벗어나는 일들로 하나님은 저를 막아주셨습니다.

오늘 본문에는 무너진 성전을 다시 건축할 유다 백성들의 이름과 수가 기록되었습니다(1-14절). 제가 죽지 않고 살아 간증하는 것 자체가 하나님의 은혜라는 생각이 듭니다. 지금은 우울증 때문에 너무 힘들지만, 이렇게 간증문을 쓰게 하시고 제 이름을 큐티책에 기록해주시는 하나님께 감사합니다. 무너진 성전을 다시 지어가시는 하나님이 제 연약함도 새롭게 회복시켜 주시길 간절히 기도합니다. (중3 유하나)

My parents fought constantly, and the arguments were severe. My older brother ran with a dangerous crowd and was always getting into trouble. There were times when he choked my mom because she would not give him money, and once he threatened her with a kitchen knife. His behavior only made my parents fight more. When I was in fourth grade, my mom and dad spent hours throwing things at each other across the house because of my brother. I sat in my room

crying until my mom came and told me we were leaving. Everything in the house was broken that day, and that memory still fills me with fear.

Watching my parents fight, seeing my brother constantly get into trouble, and watching him hurt himself when he was drunk left me deeply wounded emotionally. The anxiety, depression, and hopelessness became so overwhelming that I made three attempts to end my life in different ways. But every single time, my plans fell apart, and I believe God was the one who stopped me.

Today’s passage records the names and numbers of the people of Judah who returned to rebuild the ruined temple (v. 1). When I think about the fact that I am still alive and writing this testimony, I can only see it as God’s grace. Depression still makes every day incredibly hard. But I am grateful to the God who led me to write this testimony and recorded my name in QTin. I pray that the God who rebuilt the ruined temple will also restore my weakness. (Hana Yoo, Grade 9)

요즘 사춘기에 접어든 중학생 작은딸의 귀가 시간이 점점 늦어지고 있습니다. 새벽까지 들어오지 않는 딸을 찾아 동네 무인카페나 편의점을 무작정 뒤지기도 하고 뜬눈으로 밤을 새운 적도 많았습니다. 아침에 깨우면 소리 지르고 방에서 나가라며 화내는 아이를 달래 학교

에 보내는 것도, 근태 문제로 담임 선생님께 거듭 사과를 드리는 것도 너무 괴로웠습니다. 성실 하나를 무기로 인정받기 위해 애쓰며 살았던 저로서는 딸의 이런 모습이 이해되지 않았습니다.

감정도 체력도 바닥나니 생색이 올라와 “내가 이렇게 노력하는데 얘는 왜 이렇게 불성실하지? 도대체 왜 내가 선생님께 매일 욕먹고 죄송하다고 해야 하는지 모르겠어!”라며 투덜거렸습니다. 그런데 가만히 듣고 있던 큰딸이 “엄마가 부모니까 당연히 해야지, 그게 부모 역할이잖아”라고 말하는 것이었습니다. 그제야 돌이켜보니 제가 했던 모든 노력은 말씀을 통해서 하는 게 아니라 그저 여러 부모님들의 사례를 따라 하며 좋은 부모로 인정받고자 했던 불손한 적용이었습니다.

오늘 본문의 다윗은 하나님으로 인해 강성해 가는 은혜 중에도 처첩을 두는 모습을 보입니다(13절). 믿음의 가정을 이루게 하신 것이 하나님의 전적인 은혜임을 고백하면서도 여전히 내가 하고 싶은 부모의 역할을 정하고 있음을 회개합니다. 저 자신이 문제 부모임을 늘 말씀으로 비추어 보며 적용을 잘 할 수 있기를 기도합니다. (부모님 김민선)

These days, my younger daughter, who is now in middle school, has been coming home later and later as she moves deeper into adolescence. There have been many nights when I stayed up all night searching random unmanned cafés and convenience stores in the neighborhood because she did not come home until dawn. It has also been so painful to calm her down and get her to school when she yells at me in the morning and tells me to get out of her room, and to keep apologizing to her homeroom teacher over and over because of her attendance problems. Since I have spent my life trying to be recognized for being diligent, I found it hard to understand my daughter’s behavior.

As my emotions and strength hit the floor, my need to show off my efforts started rising up. I found myself grumbling, “I am trying this hard, so why is she still so irresponsible? Why do I have to be scolded by her teacher and apologize every single day?” Then my older daughter, who had been quietly listening, said, “Mom, you are the parent. Of course you have to do that. That is what a parent does.” Only then did I look back and realize that all my effort had not come from applying God’s word to my life. Instead, I had simply copied what I had heard from other parents in the community because I wanted to be recognized as a good parent by my children. It was a proud and sinful kind of application. In today’s passage, David was growing stronger by God’s grace, yet he still took concubines (v. 13). In the same way, even while confessing that it is entirely God’s grace that has given me a family of faith, I still keep deciding for

myself what kind of parent I want to be. I repent of that. Please pray that I’ll keep holding my life up to the light of God’s word and learn how to die to myself. (Minsun Kim, Parent)
